The Great Invocation
The Great Invocation is a powerful tool to bring Divine light, love and power to our planet. This prayer is recited by millions of people of all religions in countries all over the world; it belongs to all religions and to all people. Please join in this prayer with thought and dedication each day.
From the point of Light within the Mind of God
Let light stream forth into the minds of men
Let Light descend on Earth.
From the point of Love within the Heart of God
Let love stream forth into the hearts of men
May Christ return to Earth.
From the Centre where the Will of God is known
Let purpose guide the little wills of men
The purpose which the Masters know and serve
From the Centre which we call the race of men
Let the Plan of Love and Light work out
And may it seal the door where evil dwells
Let Light and Love and Power restore the Plan on Earth.
Many religions believe in a world Teacher, knowing this teacher under various names such as The Christ, Lord Maitreya, Iman Mahdi and Bodhisattva. The original version of Great Invocation above uses the term Christ, with the understanding that this Teacher is not restricted to any one faith, but universal to all faiths. Likewise, the term “men” used above means humankind, as opposed to a gender. The original version is presented above, to maintain the power within the spoken words. If you are more comfortable substituting The Coming One for Christ and humankind for men, or other similar words, please do. The important point is to recognize our unity as children of God, and to use whatever vocabulary we deem appropriate. What is of greatest significance is the prayer itself- the intent within our hearts, minds and spirits brought to manifestation through our voices to bring divine light, love and power to earth. By saying this prayer with intention every day, you join a global community of people committed to improving our world through the power of goodness.
In these times, working within a group is imperative. Join a group without slogans or prejudice, right from your home, through your loving intentions and prayers. In the beginning was the Word....use your words with thoughtful care each day.
